There is a small pleasure in a tool that does one job and looks good doing it. This mini chalkboard eraser features a handpainted pink wood block with a felt pad on the underside and an upright handle sized for a child's hand. The mint label reads Mon Effaceur, my eraser, which is the whole idea: it belongs to whoever is using the board, and it lives on the ledge rather than getting lost in a drawer. Felt lifts chalk dust cleanly without smearing it around, and the wood takes the knocks that come with being dropped off a chalkboard tray.
