A granny square blanket that grew up and became a jacket. Four crocheted houses sit across the front, each on its own square, a lavender cottage with a blue door, a navy-roofed house in cream, a mustard house with a chimney, and a rust one with a pale gable. The sleeves and back carry plain squares in the same palette, dusty pink and olive and deep navy and rust, joined with pale blue bobble edging that runs through the whole garment. Crocheted buttons down the front, a rounded collar trimmed in cream bobbles, and ribbed cuffs. Entirely hand crocheted in merino wool, which is why no two come out quite alike.
