Exchange notebooks are a Japanese schoolyard tradition: a small group keeps one book between them, and it travels from friend to friend, each person writing an entry before passing it on. Twenty-four sheets, stitch bound so it lies flat. The cover is a dim sum spread, and every last dumpling has a small cat sitting in it. All printed text is in Japanese, which is part of the charm.
