A card that stands up on the mantelpiece and stays there past the occasion. Three panels fold out in a zigzag, die cut along the top so the silhouette follows the birds themselves, two hens and a cockerel picking through wildflowers with chicks underfoot. Mark Hearld builds his birds from torn and printed paper, so the plumage is patterned rather than drawn, black and cream mottling on one hen and teal and copper in the cockerel's tail. The reverse carries a message panel, and the card comes blank inside with an envelope in a biodegradable cello sleeve.
