A year of holidays as Tasha Tudor kept them, month by month, from New Year's through Christmas. Valentines cut by hand in February, a birthday party on the lawn in June, a doll's wedding, a Halloween, a Thanksgiving table. It is drawn from the way her own family marked the year at Corgi Cottage, and the details are specific enough to borrow: what they made, what they ate, who came. The watercolors are full of children and corgis and small ceremonies. A good book for a family building its own set of traditions, and a lovely thing to reread each year as the holidays come around.
