Halloween used to be made of crepe paper and glue, and nothing since has quite matched it. Inspired by Victorian era German ornaments, this little black cat is built on a wire frame with a painted spun cotton body and a printed face. She wears a ruffled crepe collar over a skirt of orange crepe layered on cream tulle with a burlap waistband, and a bib printed with a wide-eyed cat face. In one paw she carries a jack o'lantern pail with a cat's ears, in the other a black balloon flying a small BOO flag. Her tail curls, there is a glitter pumpkin at her feet, and she stands on a glittered black mound. Made by hand, so no two come out quite alike.
